Our breeding of Lusitanians horses in the region of Clermont-Ferrand, at the foot of the chain of "Puys", in some Volvic's kilometers is a small domestic one.
The Lusitanian horse, very rustic, is very well adapted to the climate, sometimes rough and to the hard and often bumped ground.
The foals can develop a big suppleness, a good balance and a good muscle structure.
The male horses are freely brought up to the age of 4 years, then broken in.

The Lusitanian horse is from the warm and dry plains of the southwest iberic péninsula. Its name arises from ancient Portugal of roman time: Lusitania.
The most ancient horse of the world which was ridden five thousand years ago, appeared at the beginning of XXI century by having reconquerring its prestige.
Horse of " blood " the Lusitanian is the produce of a selection of thousand years.
It's a horse with the different capacities, among which the obedience, the suppleness and the courage which allow him today to be used in many equestrian disciplines.
